I had the most magical mini makeover at Sephora inside JCPenney that I’ve been dying to share with you guys.
This spring the colors are absolutely magical, full of pops of color, glitter and well, magic! To really experience it, you must go in store to try on all of the fun, easy to wear colors!
When I first got to Sephora inside JCPenney, I met with Dano, my Magical SiJCP Education Manager. She was so warm and welcoming, and helped me get settled in.
I instantly felt pampered in that way you only can feel when someone is making you up.
We talked about what kind of makeup I wanted, and she looked at some of my photos to get a sense of my style. Dano and I agreed that this spring is all about magical makeup: glittery lids and glowy cheeks!
Before we began, Dano used Sephora’s Color IQ technology to match my skin tone so we could see what colors and products would look best on my complexion.
You guys, I was so blown away by this tool! I’ve never heard of it before, and it is so nice to get an exact match for your skin tone, and and have the tool help you select shades based on whether you want to go more red or yellow. You can get matched using Color IQ at any Sephora inside JCPenney!
I have a lot of yellow in my skin, or “golden” as I call it. Dano taught me that to best highlight my skin, we should add a shade with more red. Genius!
After applying foundation, eye cream (because hello mom life) and some concealer, we moved to my eyes.
I have to be honest, I kind of suck at eye makeup. I used to be good at it when I was younger but somehow my skill level has fallen to beginner.
The best part of the makeover at Sephora inside JCPenney is learning new skills from trained pros.
Now on to the best part of the makeover, my eyes!
Dano used the Too Faced White Peach Eye Shadow Palette and you guys, it’s absolutely amazing! Rarely do I get so excited about a palette but every color is stunning and magical.
I’m absolutely obsessed!
We chose a beautiful rose gold glitter for my lids. If I could have everything in my life be rose gold, I would.
We filled in my brows a little bit, and finished it off with a touch of mascara to keep it soft and natural.
Next we did my cheeks. I was totally glowing! Dano chose a beautiful peach blush based on my Pantone Color IQ match.
She taught me how to accentuate my features by following the soft arc along the cheekbones, —less is more with highlighting.
Lastly we did my lips. We used a bright pink for a nice pop, and highlighted my cupid’s bow for a pretty, multidimensional look.
The end result was a beautiful, soft, and flattering look that you can dress up or down.
All of these products are so fun yet easy to wear, and will look gorgeous on all skin tones and all ages, seriously anyone can rock these looks!
I just loved how everything turned out, I felt youthful and truly magical. How can you go wrong with shimmer and sparkle?
Dano taught me so many cool new tricks- she was amazing!! I couldn’t have asked for a better Education Manager to do my makeup and teach me some new tricks.
Getting a magical Mini Makeover of your own at Sephora inside JCPenney is FREE, only takes 15 minutes, and is such a fun experience!
I highly recommend it if you want to experiment with some of these awesome new beauty trends, or just learn a few new tricks.
