I recently had the opportunity to participate in La-Z-Boy’s Design Dash competition, where I competed against other people to design and style my perfect room. You guys, it was soo much fun!

I was thrilled when La-Z-Boy contacted me because I actually have a ton of amazing furniture from them that I bought several years back for my son’s nursery. The challenge was to design a room from scratch around a sofa from La-Z-Boy. How do you think I did?

This is something I’ve never really done before, but I had such a blast! I’ve always loved interior design and it was really cool getting the chance to really dip my feet into that. I love design because I feel like you’re very influenced by your environment, so I love incorporating pops of color because they make you happy. Surrounding yourself with things that you love is so important.

I competed against eight other bloggers who all designed their perfect room too, and everyone’s turned out amazing! It was so much fun because La-Z-Boy offers styles for everyone, and we all had very unique points of views with our room. I went for all the bright colors, whereas other competitors maybe went with more earth tones.

I absolutely love the sofa I had to design my room around because it was super modern, comfortable, and cozy. It’s the Bexley Sofa from the new Urban Attitude collection. I used fun bright floral pillows to contrast with the dark sofa to really make it pop. The Reclamation Place Cocktail Table is just the perfect color and ties in the space so nicely.

I’m obsessed with the Bellevue High Leg Swivel Chair, it’s chevron which is so in style right now! And who doesn’t love a swivel chair? My kids would have a field day with that. 

All of these beautiful pieces from La-Z-Boy came together to create my absolute dream living room! I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out, I want EVERYTHING!!
