Pixar Pier Grand Opening at Disneyland!
My kids have always been obsessed with Pixar movies. As you know, we recently went to the premiere of The Incredibles 2, and it was AMAZING!
We’re so excited for all things Pixar this summer at the Disneyland Resort as Pixar Pier just opened at Disney California Adventure Park!
I went early to check it out, and it’s soo spectacular. It’s the waterfront like you’ve never seen before, our favorite Pixar stories and characters have come to life in this newly reimagined land.
Brand new features have arrived like the Incredicoaster, Pixar Pal-A-Round attractions, imaginative neighborhoods, Pixar-inspired food, the Lamplight Lounge, and a ton of exciting entertainment!
Pixar Pier debuts during Pixar Fest, which is a super fun limited time celebration of friendship and beyond that runs through Sept 3rd, 2018.
One of the highlights of Pixar Fest is the new “Together Forever—A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” multimedia fireworks show at Disneyland Park. It’s so magical, it’s a must-see for any Pixar fan.
I’m getting ahead of myself! Let’s get back to the attractions and rides.
The Incredicoaster is THE first ride-through attraction in the world to feature characters from The Incredibles! It’s an exhilarating journey to chase after the elusive baby Jack-Jack from The Incredibles 2.
Then you have Toy Story Boardwalk, a neighborhood with the popular Toy Story Mania, one of Disney’s most popular attractions. In 2019 there’s going to be a brand new attraction that I can’t wait to check out with the kids!
The iconic Mickey Mouse ferris wheel has been transformed to the Pixar Pal-A-Round, which takes you up high to enjoy the beautiful sights of Pixar Pier from 24 beautifully decorated gondolas – each one adorned with a Pixar pal.
The Pixar Promenade has a ton of fun pay-to-play carnival style games, like La Luna Star Catcher and WALL•E Space Race.
Just past Pixar Promenade is Inside Out Headquarters. Inspired by Joy, Sadness and the emotions of Inside Out.
We grabbed dinner at Lamplight Lounge, a yummy restaurant with food the whole family can enjoy. They even have unique signature cocktails for the adults to enjoy. The seaside lounge contains a full bar with a beautiful view of Paradise Bay from both upstairs and downstairs.
The best part is that there are so many amazing new Pixar inspired treats to enjoy along the pier.
I seriously love Disneyland, it’s such a magical place filled with happiness. You’re never too old for it!
I love what they’ve done to Disney California Adventure Park, Pixar Pier is such a perfect addition to the parks.
