Harper’s Magical Carousel Dress-Up Birthday Party!

Can you believe Harper is FIVE? She’s getting so big and growing way too fast, I just want to make it stop! I swear I just blinked and now she’s a big girl! This year for her birthday I thought I would do a fun spin on the ever-so-popular unicorn theme. I decided to go for a fun, bright, and colorful carousel themed party!

I think putting a spin on an old classic and combining it with the newer trend of unicorns worked really well. I told my good friend Royale my vision and she was able to transform our party space into a beautiful masterpiece for Harper and her friends. I expected nothing less from her! I couldn’t be happier with how this turned out, I think I like it even better than last year’s!

We had a clothing rack filled with fun tutus, wands, tiaras, and any glittery accessory you can dream of. All of Harper’s guests played dress-up thanks to Claire’s. We had a fashion runway so the girls could put on a fashion show for us in their fabulous outfits. They had a blast trading necklaces, bracelets, and all sorts of fun accessories. At the end of the party, they got to go home with what they were wearing and an extra goodie bag with even more fun stuff!

This entire party could not be as magical and amazing if it weren’t for all the people who helped make it so special. I want to thank EVERYONE for helping me put this together, I’m eternally grateful!!

Royale is the mastermind behind the absolutely incredible design of everything. She worked with me to create the party of Harper’s dreams and is the best party planner ever. She owns But First, Party and she’s a visual genius!

The incredible balloons are from Bonjour Fête, which is the cutest party store ever. Be careful going inside because you will need to practice a ton of self control. All of their items are to die for. They’re so skilled with these big balloon garlands, and they make it look so easy!

All of the adorable party decor is from Meri Meri, our longtime favorite partyware brand. I use their stuff all the time and can’t get enough of it. They have the cutest plates, napkins, cups, candles, and anything else you can think of!

I custom ordered a dress for Harper from Belle Threads who hand makes stunning dresses for little girls. Harper’s dress was everything we could have asked for- rainbow, pastel, and tulle! We’re in love with how it turned out.

Harper’s delicious carousel cake was from Butter Cake Shoppe, which everyone ate way too much of. It was SO pretty, perfectly on theme, and was SO tasty! It was a beautiful centerpiece for our carousel themed party.

We ordered cookies from Starbakes who makes the cutest cookies ever. She’s so insanely talented guys, I could scroll her Insta forever. We had carnival ticket sugar cookies with Harper’s name on them and little cotton candy cones. They were so yummy!

I got two bouquets from Earthbaby Flowers again, I was so impressed last year. Her flowers made the perfect finishing touch to the tables and worked perfectly with our theme! I love her style.

As for our carousel horses, they were from Platinum Prop Rentals. Having two real carousel horses incorporated in the decorations made this birthday party super magical, and the kids were so excited about them!

This whole thing couldn’t have come together if it weren’t for Teak and Lace Children’s Party Rentals who supplied us with the mini tables and chairs for the kids. They also helped us with our fashion show runway which was a big hit with the girls at the party! They strutted down the runway like supermodels the whole party.

I’m so happy with how it all turned out, but do you guys think? Did we out do ourselves after Harper’s birthday last year?

Scroll for an overload of adorable photos!!
