We recently went to Great Wolf Lodge in Southern California and had an absolute blast!
We took the kids there before for the grand opening and Harper’s birthday, so we were pros this time around.
The highlight of the resort is the massive indoor water park. There’s 105 thousand square feet of slides, pools, and explorable play areas. It’s so much fun, even for the adults!
When you first enter the water park, the kids get measured and receive a colored wristband from a lifeguard. The color of their wristband determines what areas of the park are safe for them to play in.
Grayson was green and Harper was red.
There are so many awesome slides and activities for all ages, and a 4-story tree house water fort in the center of it all.
Harper loves the kiddie area which is perfect for her size, it has tons of little fountains for her to splash around in.
One of my favorite things is the lazy river, I could float around in circles for hours.
There’s also an outdoor pool if you get sick of being inside, or just need some fresh air.
But the water park is nowhere near the only thing GWL has to offer.
There’s an arcade, bowling alley, mini golf, dance parties, and even a kid-friendly spa!
What’s really cool is that the entire hotel is covered in a live-action roleplaying game called MagiQuest, where the kids use magic wands to solve quests.
The unique part about Great Wolf Lodge is that you can literally stay within the resort your entire trip, so there’s no hassle with anything. It makes it such a stress free vacation.
You can eat, explore, play, and sleep without ever stepping foot inside a car or shuttle.
We mainly ate at the Loose Moose Kitchen that serves buffet style breakfast and dinner. Harper loved the character breakfast, but Grayson was a little shy.
There’s even quick and easy poolside food, so the fun doesn’t need to be put on hold!
There’s also a few other restaurants including a grill, and pizza parlor. The pizza parlor is perfect for a late night snack and stays open until 11pm!
Not to mention there’s a Dunkin’ Donuts and little cafe so you can get your fix in the morning.
Great Wolf Lodge is the perfect place for a weekend getaway that the whole family can enjoy.
There’s never a dull moment because there’s always something to do, and everything is a short walk away.
We can’t wait to go back!
