If you have a mini Super Hero, then Summer 2017 is for you at Disneyland!
Taking over California Adventure this summer are Super Heroes like Spiderman, Superman, Batman, the Avengers and of course the Guardians of the Galaxy (among others!). Enjoy the hero experience now through September 20th.
And of course don’t miss out on viewing the Electrical Parade at Disneyland before it parades away on August 20th!
So round up your capes and Super Hero garb (like these adorable new Daddy & Me Spiderman New Balance Shoes) and head to Disneyland California Adventure.
The first thing you will want to do is to head over to the Summer of Heroes Headquarters and sign up for Avengers Training, since spots fill up early just like they do for Jedi Warrior Training over at Disneyland.
Once you get your Avengers Training time, head over to meet some Super Heroes! Grayson LOVED meeting the super cool Spiderman who taught him the proper way to spin webs.
And here’s us meeting the Captain America, considered the first Avenger while Harper is in full-on Bibbidi Bobbidi hair (that I touched up for her after one day!).
After meeting Super Heroes you may get hungry. Of course Disneyland goes all out on everything, including their food! Check out these incredible barbacoa tacos (gluten and dairy free!) in the Super Hero HQ area where you can also enjoy margaritas, beer, sub sandwiches and more.
And for dessert, there are amazing Spiderman Donuts that are a little spicey (and DELISH!) and Spiderman ice cream macaroon sandwiches. Don’t worry you will be walking a ton to burn calories so it kind of works out, right?
Finally it’s time to ride Guardians of the Galaxy, Mission Breakout.
Go and get a fast pass in the morning so you have a shorter wait. BUT while you are in line there just might be impromptu dance parties when Star-Lord fires up his old-school boom box to get the party started in “Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off!”
Here’s my “helmet cam” of the full Guardians of the Galaxy ride that is a BLAST! If you have little kids, you can STILL go on this ride by using this trick:
And now it is time for Avengers Training!! Young Avengers learn defensive and attack maneuvers to take on Arnim Zola!
And here is Grayson defeating the villain Arnim Zola, who is known by Captain America fans to be from the evil HYDRA organization.
And for more tips and tricks for visiting the parks with preschoolers, check out this post!
Thank you to Disneyland for a Behind the Scenes experience at the park which including complimentary tickets and other special perks, which in no way impacted my experiences that I am sharing with you today!
