Power to the Pen! Back to School with Pilot Pen

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who geek out over getting back to school / office supplies, and those that don’t.  I’m guessing you can tell which camp I fall into since I love color! Back to school shopping is always so fun for me because of all the possibilities that new supplies offer.

What can I create with this pen?  What fun projects will I do?  What will my day planner look like, and how many fun colors can I use to make each week and month shine?

And now that I’m fully embracing my new role as a virtual teacher, I’ve been carefully planning how to make learning at home as fun and seamless as possible.

Back to School Supplies Are Home Supplies This Year

This year, back to school supplies have a totally different meaning since both of my kids will be learning at home for the school year.  Typically, most of the supplies we purchase go to Harper and Grayson’s classroom to be used by them while in school. But this year, everything will be done at home.  And I was not given the long supply list of fifteen to twenty items.

This makes me SO HAPPY because we are open to load up on my favorite supplies.  And my absolute favorite back to school supply? Pilot’s erasable FriXion pens and markers!

Power to The Pen

When I was in college and law school, I took my notes using two to four colored pens in every class.  Even in law school, when most students switched to taking notes on their computers, I still preferred taking hand-written notes. Once I write something down, I will always remember it.  Since I have a sort of photographic memory, taking multi-colored notes helped me recall the information I wrote down in class.

I so wish I had erasable pens back when I was in college!  It would have saved me so much time.  And my inner perfectionist self would be so much happier having notes with no mistakes!

This school year, a lot of things will be very different for both of my kids.  We are in a new house, new school district, Harper and Grayson haven’t met any local kids yet, and we are doing virtual schooling. I want to ensure this year is still as fun and joyful as possible – and I’m going to do that with the help of Pilot Pen!

School work doesn’t have to be boring! An easy way to make school work more fun is to use a fun pen.  Thanks to our new Pilot FriXion pens, my kids have fun, colorful pens to make school work more enjoyable! Giving them the option to select the pen they want to use is another way to empower them, and feel like they have more of a voice in their work. It also gives them ownership, making them feel proud of their penmanship and schoolwork.

FriXion Erasable Pens

Grayson loves the FriXion ColorSticks Assorted Erasable Gel Ink Pens. They write smoothly and erase cleanly, too! Since Grayson has dyslexia, he often has trouble with spelling words. That’s why I love these erasable pens for him! They allow him to write fearlessly, and instead of getting frustrated, he can just erase the mistake and try again.

He also loves the FriXion Clicker Erasable Retractable Gel Ink Pens because they are refillable, and he cares deeply about the environment. There’s an eraser right at the top of this pen, too, so Gray can erase and rewrite repeatedly without any wear or tear on the paper.

Harper and I love the FriXion Fineliner Erasable Marker Pens because they come in a rainbow of colors. Since Harper is only in 1st grade, she is still learning to write well, so having an erasable pen is key. I personally love erasable markers because mistakes happen, but with FriXion, no one has to know!
