My Fave Beauty Products

It’s no secret that I LOVE beauty products. Obsessed may be more like it! These are my absolute favorite beauty and skincare products for a reason. Each year I test hundreds of new products.

My skin is pretty normal, with a tendency to be a tad dry.

These products are focused on skin for women over 30 who want to prevent or minimize wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, sun damage and want brighter skin.

1. Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. Hands down the best cleansing balm. It cleans your face of dirt, makeup and anything else. It’s hydrating and feels incredible on your face. And a little goes a long way!
2. REN Glycolic Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask. This mask has been my absolute favorite for 12 years in a row. It’s a thoroughly exfoliating peel that is great for sun damage, melasma, brightening and wrinkles. LOVE!
3. Shani Darden Retinol Reform. The stronger and best pure retinol on the market without a prescription. I’ve tried several prescription retinols and this one is by far and away the best! It also has some lactic acid in it! I had a facial with Shani two years ago, and she told me this retinol would change my life. It DID! And it’s finally available in more places!
4. Perricone MD No Rinse Exfoliating Peel. I first started using this a few years ago when it was called Blue Plasma. Everytime I used it, my husband would always comment on my skin. He called it young and glowing. If your husband ever comments on your skin…keep doing that! This went off the market for some time and is back with a new name. NOTE: This peel does have a bit of a fishy smell that disappates quickly. If you’re sensitive to smells just want to let you know. I don’t even notice the smell anymore. Also this is a no-rinse peel!
5. UNITE Re:Unite Shampoo & Conditioner Set. I’ve been using this shampoo and conditoner for the past 8 months in my color treated hair. It makes my hair soft, hydrated, shiny and best, I can go a long time in-between washes. I also love that a little goes a long way (since it’s not an inexpensive set!)

I have not one, but TWO subscription boxes on my list. One box helps make life easier by sending you unique, chef-made recipes and ingredients to make dinner time a breeze. The other one has fun goodies in the wellness, lifestyle, beauty and home category.

1. Blue Apron. This mealtime box makes dinnertime a breeze. Blue Apron partners with different chefs every few weeks to constantly re-invigorate their menu. They send you all of the ingredients you need, and ther packaging is biodegradable. The food is DELISH and I’m easily able to make most recipes gluten free!

• PJ Salvage. I actually discovered PJ Salvage in 2019 while looking for cute and comfy pajamas that would hold up to a lot of washings. I have two kids and two puppies, so my clothes can get dirty and stained. When the pandemic started, I loaded up on more PJ Salvage. It’s my go-to loungewear line for a reason!
• Spanx Leggings. I’ve never worn a legging where I feel as beautiful and get as many compliments as I do when wearing Spanx. They simply make women look GOOD! This slighlty fancier pair make you instantly look put together and gorgeous!

OMG More Beauty and Skincare

I know you probably didn’t think it was possible for me to love more skincare. But I do and here is why…

1. Sunday Riley Wake Up with Me Complete Brightening Morning Routine. One of my favorite acids in the world is the Sunday Riley Good Genes. Normally I would add that on it’s own to my favorite gift guide list. But this year, Sunday Riley has an incredible kit filled with brightening treats. It’s fun to be able to try the smaller sizes to ensure you love items before you commit to buying the full size!
2. Comfort Zone Tranquility Blend Fragrance. I once got this in a gift bag. It took me months to open, and when I did, I was mad at myself for not opening it sooner! This oil is an incredibly delightful blend that will delight your senses and instantly put you in a good mood! A little goes a long way. Each bottle lasts me about a year.
3. Handmade Organic Bath Bombs. These bathbombs are an incredible price for 6 (plus a smaller bonus one!) AND they are organic and handmade. You can’t beat that! They also ship quickly.
4. Christmas Tree Soy Candle. I absolutely LOVE the smell of Christmas Trees! There’s just nothing better in my book. That’s why this affordable handmade candle is a steal.
5. Paraffin Wax Machine. I was diagnosed with Osteo-Arthritis in my fingers this past summer. My doctor recommended that I regularly dip my fingers in paraffin, so I found this machine. It makes you hands and feet ultra soft!
6. Dry Bar The Double Shot Blow Dry Brush. First I tried the Revlon brush. I loved ther results, but my hair got really hot and damaged. For me, that meant bad split ends. So I decided to try this blow dry brush, and I’m hooked!
7. T3 Whirl Trio Interchangeable Styling Wand Set. A few years ago, it was unthinkable to me that I could ever curl my hair with a curling iron. Enter this curling wand set that has changed everything! It’s so easy to use and the results are amazing!

Two More Fashion Picks

1. Avre Shoes. I’ve never had a pair of running shoes that I’ve absolutely loved the way I do Avre (pronounded A-very like the girl’s name). They are cute and they are comfy. Now that’s a win-win! I wear them for hikes, walks with my dogs, workouts and running errands. They are a true chameleon!
2. True & Co Bras. These are the softest, most comfy bras ever. They are made for lounging and home. I legit own 10 of them. After kids I always like to wear a bra, and these are the most comfy! Trust me; every single person who has tried one on my suggestion wrote a longgg thank you text within a week!
